Rebecca Rafelson
Vice President, Marketing
Rebecca Rafelson is a marketing professional with a passion for driving positive change and creating lasting impact. In her role as Vice President of Marketing at FIDF, Rebecca is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of strategic marketing initiatives aimed at effectively promoting the organization’s mission and raising critical funds for FIDF’s transformational programs.
With over a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector, Rebecca has consistently elevated the brands of prominent Jewish organizations and played a key role in transforming internal processes for increased efficiency and growth.
In her previous position as the Director of Brand and Communications, Rebecca led efforts to enhance FIDF’s brand image to ensure its continued relevance. She established effective communication channels, cultivated and expanded the team of creative talent, and improved processes and operations.
Before joining FIDF, Rebecca served as the Director of Marketing at the Kaplan JCC on the Palisades, one of the largest JCCs in the country. During her time there, she implemented new strategies that transitioned the organization from print to digital marketing. In recognition of her accomplishments, Rebecca was awarded the 2021 JCC National Award for Excellence.
Rebecca gained extensive knowledge of philanthropy during her ten-year tenure in Development for Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America. In this role, she contributed to major gift and grassroots fundraising efforts, and oversaw donor communications. Additionally, she headed the young donor program for Hadassah International Medical Relief Organization, successfully expanding into new philanthropic markets.
Rebecca holds a B.A. in Sociology, Journalism, and Women and Gender Studies from Brandeis University, and studied Reconciliation and Development in Durban, South Africa. Currently, she resides in New Jersey with her husband and two children.
